Dear Neighbor,

Good news.  All Long Beach residents 50 years old and older are now eligible to get vaccinated.

If you are already in the VaxLB system, the Long Beach health team will contact you directly to schedule an appointment.

If you have not signed up for VaxLB, you may walk up to the vaccination site at the Convention Center between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  No appointment is needed.

Because the City of Long Beach is making residents 50 and older eligible before the rest of the state, the state of California’s MyTurn.CA.gov website will not make appointments for these people yet. If you are between 50 and 64 years old, please do not look there to make an immediate appointment.

Individuals must be able to prove they meet the eligibility requirement and live in Long Beach. Proof of residency documentation could include a utility bill with your address or a driver’s license. More information on eligibility and documentation can be found at longbeach.gov/VaxLB.
